The HOT missile system as fitted the Jaguar 1 was designed to be used under NBC protection and the missile could be retracted into the vehicle for reloading using an automated loading system.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Jaguar 1 equipped the Panzerjäger companies of the panzer brigades where their role was to provide long-range anti-tank support to the Panzertruppen (armoured troops).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe panzergrenadier brigades have Jaguar 2 tank-hunters armed with the US Improved TOW anti-tank missile. The Jaguar 2 tank-hunters have been converted directly from the Kanonenjagdpanzer 90mm armed tank-hunters.
