World War III - West German: UH-1 Huey Transport Platoon

The ubiquitous Bell UH-1 “Huey” first flew in 1956 and remains in service around the world in both military and civilian roles. The Bundeswehr made extensive use of the model, especially as a transport and in search and rescue missions. Dornier built 352 examples from 1967 to 1981, all of which were provided to the West German armed forces. While capable of mounting guns, rocket, or missiles in a gunship mode, the Fallschirmjäger typically make do with door gun positions as was common with U.S. Air Cavalry units in Vietnam.
